Add an Image to Your Kanban Card in Seconds
Setting up a Kanban card used to mean opening a browser, finding a product photo, saving it to your device, then uploading it to GembaDocs. That is three separate steps before you even get back to your card.
Now you can search the web for an image and add it straight to your Kanban card, all from the same screen.
How Image Search Works
- Click the upload icon to open the Image web search window.
- Type a search term, like the part name or product description. For example, "galvanised nails."
- Hit search and browse the results in the grid.
- Click any result to load it into the Preview panel on the right.
- Select Use photo to add it to your Kanban card.
That's it. No downloads, no separate uploads, no switching tabs.
Why This Saves Your Team Time
- Fewer steps. You go from search to card in one window instead of juggling a browser tab and a file upload.
- Faster Kanban setup. If you are building out cards for dozens of parts, cutting out the save-and-upload step adds up fast.
- Consistent results. Only images that GembaDocs can actually download show up in your results, so you will not hit a dead link after you have already picked a photo.
Encourage your team mates to use specific search terms. A search for "1-1/2 inch galvanized roofing nail" will get you closer to the exact product than a generic term like "nails." The more specific the search, the less time your colleagues spend scrolling through results.
Where to Find It
This update lives inside the Kanban card creation and edit screens. Open any Kanban, look for the image upload field, and click through to start searching.
Note: Product visuals may vary slightly as we continue to improve and update the platform
